Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At bbin娱乐平台, we value diversity in all its dimensions.

Schools have long since known that having a diverse student body and faculty benefits the entire community in tangible and intangible ways. At Boston University Academy, we value diversity in all its dimensions, from racial and socio-economic diversity, to diversity of religions, 背景, and sexual orientations, to linguistic and geographic diversity. bbin娱乐平台 students speak 30 different languages at home, come from 51 cities and towns, and bring with them 234 different life experiences. And our school is better for having students and faculty of:

  • Family compositions
  • Physical abilities

  • Political views
Having a student body and faculty that more closely reflects the diversity of the city and region we are a part of is important.

Promoting and engaging conversation about diversity, 股本, 和包容 is also an integral piece of being a welcoming and caring community. At bbin娱乐平台, we lean into these difficult and sometimes uncomfortable discussions.

Through our All-School Meetings, 类会议, and work conducted in student clubs like the Social Justice Alliance and Conversations@bbin娱乐平台, we are grappling with some of the big issues facing our society and country. This work is a valued part of the Boston University Academy experience within and beyond the classroom.

We will continue to pair discussion with action in order to ensure that our school community reflects our commitment to diversity, 股本, 和包容.
